 A skimmer (surface dirt collector) drains dirty pool water into the filtration system. The skimmer is a plastic or enameled container built into the pool wall or hung on the wall (for above-ground pools). The type of skimmer will be determined by the pool design.
 VA skimmers in concrete or foil are made of white ABS. ABS material is not subject to changes due to atmospheric and chemical influences.
